Vice Chancellor of the University Chairs the Deans Council Meeting at the Medical Colleges Campus

Prof Awad Saad Hassan, vice chancellor of the university, chaired the meeting of the deans council in the Great Hall of the Medical Colleges Campus, paying his respect to the souls of the martyrs of the sit-in raid memorial and the souls of the university members who passed away. He also offered his best wishes for the blessed Eid al-Fitr and welcomed Dr Ietdal Ahmad AbuAlbashar, new dean of the college of medicine.

The meeting approved the proposal to amend the academic calendar submitted by the Secretariat of Scientific Affairs, which came in accordance with the recent decision of the university to suspend conventional teaching activities and committing to  e-learning, in line with the decision of the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies and the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Council also decided to resume face-to-face completion of the practical labs and tutorials starting from 20/6/2021 for a period of three weeks, so that the end of  the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020 will be on 8/7/2021, and the examinations will be held on Saturday 31/7/2021.

The meeting of the Deans Council also approved the proposal to amend the academic calendar in the colleges of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production Science and Technology as follows. The study for the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020 will end on 5/8/2021 and the examinations will be held on Saturday 7/8/2021. The Council agreed to exclude the examinations of the College of Pharmacy, which were previously announced.

After the meeting, the deans toured the campus buildings, including classrooms, laboratories and mortuary, and praised the high level of design and implementation.
